Editorial spread

I created this in my typography class and the assignment was to choose a story out of the few that were given. I chose The House Beyond Your Sky because of the unusual imagery within the writing. Having the main image on the right side of the page I used the birds flying out of the cage to create movement, leading the viewer to the title and beginning of the article.

Series of posters

This is a collection of play posters from Lillian Hellman. The idea was merge image and type, yet having separation in each poster to symbolize the tragic narrative in each play.

Its been awhile

Hello, Its been a while sense my last blog. Been busy with designing, and everything that life throws at you, its been a journey. I just relaunched my new website and for once I can say out loud that I am really proud of myself. There as been a lot of doubt that comes with this near ending journey at NCA. Lately my head has been filled with questions like where am I going and where am I going to end up. My goal is to find a job in the graphic design field, doing something I love. I have a quote and it expresses me to a T, "I wake up every morning thinking about design, I go to sleep at night thinking about design. In between the two, I design."

Hope you all enjoy my new work that I am going to post, thank you for viewing!

New Photog

Erica and Kenz

This was a really neat looking stump with an old rusted chain intertwined with it. I naturally tilt my camera to create visual interest.

"Obsessions make my life worse and my work better." - Stefan Sagmeister

I found this quote today and it is totally me. This explains my everyday battle to be a designer. The obsessions take over, the ocd and the anxiety, but in the end when the chaos settles I am left with satisfying results.

The ending is near

Hello, I thought I would write a thought to day. The semester is finally winding down, it feels good not to be so jam packed with work, causing me to continue my homework in my dreams. I am very excited for the summer break, it feels like I have not been home in ages! Although Im already feeling lost with out graphic design and typography! my two favorite classes. I really learned a lot from this semester, such as time management. This is such a big thing to be very conscious about as a designer, everything will be easy going IF you don’t procrastinate or procrastinate about procrastination(which I am known to do). So within these last two weeks of the semester I will be wrapping things up, once finished I will upload the final products for all of you to see,
Excited? I am
